Application to The Graduate Certificate Program is open to instruction-related personnel from any division within the college as long as they are employed at any of South Carolina's technical colleges and related institutions.  Each cohort will be comprised of up to 25 students from various institutions; however, one slot for each technical school (including one slot for the main systems office) will be guaranteed.  Eight additional slots will be available in rotation.

The SC Technical College System or one of its member colleges must employ all cohort students.  All applicants must hold a minimum of an undergraduate degree.  No testing is required to enroll in The Graduate Certificate Program.

While application through the University of South Carolina is necessary for enrollment, the following is a useful checklist:

• Entrance exams: Entrance exams such as the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or the Miller Analogy Test (MAT) are not required for this certificate program.
• Residency: South Carolina residency and work status at a participating South Carolina technical or community college is required.
  
• Transcripts: Undergraduate transcripts are required.  Please submit official forms with your graduate application.
  
• Immunization:  Because the program is a distance education opportunity, students who enroll in this program are not required to show proof of immunization; however, immunization documents must be submitted. There is a check box on this form that shows you are a student enrolled in a distance education program.

• Cost: The cost of the first class required for the Graduate Certificate Program (EDHE734) is funded through the Technical College System Priority Initiative Fund. The application fee is also covered covered through this fund.  Additional funding must be negotiated with the student and the sponsoring institution.
