Leon Peterkin - '05

Leon Peterkin was promoted to Dean of Student Services at Northeastern Technical College and is currently working on his dissertation to fulfill the requirements for a PhD from Capella University. "As a result of the GCP, I was inspired to continue my education."

Mateel King - '05

Since completing the Graduate Certificate Program, Mateel King  was promoted from Director of Admissions at Piedmont Technical College to Vice President for Student Affairs at the Technical College of the Lowcountry. She also transferred her credits from the program toward a PhD in Higher Educational Administration through the University of South Carolina.

Big News about CCLA graduates

Dr. James Klauber, former Executive Vice President at Piedmont Technical College in Greenwood, SC, and a graduate of the Certificate Program was named President of Owensboro Community and Technical College in Kentucky. Owensboro is Kentucky's third-largest city and is located on the Ohio River, southwest of Louisville. The College enrolls more than 6,000 students. Dr. Klauber is the first graduate of the Certificate Program to ascend to a community college presidency.
